Blink

I am typically resistant to moving media of any sort. It's just not my forte so I tend to stick to still images. This gif came completely as a surprise though.
In critique this morning for the images of Christina, my lovely professor Doug suggested having her eyes closed in the "grass in the eye" photo. Since I didn't feel like starting from scratch on a new photo, I took the eyes from another and overlayed them on the original picture. While flipping the layer on and off, I thought it would make a lovely animation of her blinking.
So I googled how to animate gifs, and this is the result. Maybe I should start shooting on a tripod so I can do more things like this...amazing that the eyes lined up this well without one.
